Skytracker power loss when plugging in the auto guider to asiair plus????

I have everything else hooked up right but when I go to plug the AUTO GDR plug into the startracker, as soon as I plug it into the asiair, the tracker power cuts off. I decided to use seperate power supplies thinking it may be drawing more then allowed, and it does the same thing. Both power supplies are 12v 6watt. PLEASE HELP, IT HAS BEEN TAKING ME WEEKS TO GET THIS THING GOING. THANKS
