Puzzled by noise reduction

I cant figure out how intelligent noise reduction works ... does seestar have to be actually imaging to use the noise reduction feature? and when you activate noise reduction, does it then stop imnaging and work on the images accumlated so far? and does seestar then resume imaging or is it finished once you use noise reduction? sorry to be so confused by this, and thx for reading. i didnt find the tutorial helpful.

Noise reduction can be done while imaging and also on previously acquired images, even ones taken months ago. It does no stop the imaging, after waiting the 15 seconds you have the option of saving the result or not, and then you return to image acquisition, which is not affected in any way.

I think the processing happens in the phone, not in the S50. ZWO wants to prevent this feature from being used on non-S50 images, which is why you can only use it on S50 captured images and you have to copy it back into the S50 if you already archived it, which is a pain.

Here are some instructions:

clicking noise reduction while shooting will fetch the stacked image, then jump to a new screen showing the noise reduction process, then successfully show the image after noise reduction, you can go to share it (support editing in the next version)
share it to save the IPG locally, if you don't share and click back, the current image will not be saved.
take one temporarily and do the noise reduction, don't click save in the successful noise reduction screen or it won't be saved, the image will disappear after you exit the noise reduction screen.
