  • Trouble connecting Seestar S50 to the Internet

It appears the S50 doesn't obtain a default Internet Gateway.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G cell phone with the latest software update. The SeeStar app has been updated to the latest version. The S50 is at Firmware v4.02, which is the latest version. The serial number is 07E7590D.

Here are the steps I take to try to connect with the S50 and the Internet...

Turn on the S50
Wait for the "power on, ready to connect" message from the device
Open the app on my cell phone
Tap the Connect button in the app
The app connects to the SeeStar WiFi
I get the "not connected to the Internet" message.

I also see the message in the WiFi Tips, but my phone's WiFi settings don't have this path :

"This network is set as a network exception in Switch
to mobile data. You can change your network
exceptions in Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi >
Intelligent Wi-Fi > Switch to mobile data."

I have tried this process with the phone's hotspot on and also with it off.

Bluetooth
There is no indication of Bluetooth connectivity
I see the S50 in the phone's Available Devices list, but it says "pairing..." but doesn't connect
It says "An app is needed with this device," but I don't see Bluetooth in the app on my phone

Please advise.

As an aside, and this won't help your situation, my iPhone 11 iOS level 18.1.1, Seestar app version V2.3.1 firmware level 4.02, is able to access internet via cell network when connected to the S50's wifi (Station Mode disabled). When I shut off cell access, browser cannot access any websites (as expected). I did not receive any "No Internet Access" messages.

When you say "I get the "not connected to the Internet" message." , is this message from the Seestar app or from your phone's operating system?

I'm not sure what you want to achieve. I put my in Station Mode as client to my local WiFi.
It has a dedicated IP over DHCP. So I have access from my cell phone an PC.

Seestar's Bluetooth is only used for activation and auxiliary authentication in the APP, it can't be paired in the Bluetooth settings of the phone, Seestar only supports controlling via WiFi. it's normal to show that the network can't be accessed in the WLAN list because Seestar's WiFi is only used for the data transmission between the user's Seestar and the device, and it can't access to the Internet, so it will have this prompt. prompt, it does not affect the control of Seestar.
If you want to be able to access the Internet while connecting to Seestar's WiFi, you can do it in the following two ways:
1 Mobile data setting on your cell phone;
2 If you are at home, you can bridge Seestar WiFi to your home network through station mode in Seestar app, after successful bridging, you can control Seestar directly by connecting to your home network, and at the same time, you can also access the Internet. I have the same problem. I can connect to the S50 via the S50's Wi-Fi. But then I can't use the internet on my Phone. I think solution 1 that Support@Seestar suggests would solve my problem, but I don't understand what I have to do exactly. Do you have a tutorial or an explanation? Also, when looking at Station Mode, it says: "Do not connect to Seestar Wi-Fi. if you are unable to connect to Seestar after station mode is configured, reset Seestar and try again with a different network." I don't quite understand what that means, and I don't want to be locked out of my S50.

For the first point, you can enable mobile data on your phone to connect to the internet using your cellular network.

Regarding the second point, may I ask if the frequency band of the home router you are connected to is 10.0.0.X? Or have you turned on the VPN?
