I am having difficulties getting the ASIAir and the AZ GTi mount to work together correctly. ASIAir does not seem to want Goto to follow a plate solve.
My process is powering up the mount, ASI Air, then using the ASIair app to move the scope from its horizontal position pointing north and adjust focus on the north star. Once the camera is focused, I slew the mount to maybe an area in Cassiopeia. I take a .5-second exposure, then select solve. Sometimes, I may have to slew the mount just a tad, but after a couple of tries, I get a successful plate solve, and then I choose sync to the mount. Following the success, I will select an area within the same constellation to see if the Goto function is working, and this is where all falls apart. After choosing an area within SkyAtlas, I can never correctly get the ASI air to slew to the center of the selected target successfully. The ASIair moves the mount up and down, sometimes back and forth, but fails to center the FOV selected onboard the celestial map. The ASIair is version 2.3.11.56, and the SW AZ is version 3.4. I have the cable that connects the two I purchased on Amazon, though I did order another from Highpoint in case it is the cable. I was able to update the SW firmware successfully with this cable. I have the ASIair connecting to the SW using the SkyWatcher AZGti/SyncScan WiFi. It uses a USB serial at 9600 baud. I have tried Eqmod, SkyWatcher Virtuoso, and SW Wedge, but none seem to work. Please advise.
