The JPEG files created by ASIAIR for each FITS file during an Autorun appear much brighter than the corresponding FITS file when viewed with most FITS apps. Similarly for the ASIFitsView app in the ASI Studio when viewing a FITS file from ASIAIR. Am I correct in assuming that the JPEG files and the ASIFitsView app stretches the FITS image (for a clearer understanding of what has been captured, or whatever reasoning)?
