M27 Dumbell special effect using 120mc

A week ago I captured it during my very first astrophoto session. 100 lights, 20 darks at 20sec, 100 gain.

I sent it to my S5 cell phone and today played with it using the gallery editing tool that came with the phone, got this special effect. I could not get Photoshop to do the same.

Cool! I'm a new 120mc owner, i'd like to try make some DSO. How i can do this? How i may take raw files? And how you debayerized yours? Thanks

You can just use FireCapture, set exposure to 1-few sec and save as TIFF/FITS files. Or even AVI.

But debayering? Done in firecapture or done with other program? Why 100 gain?

FireCapture has a debayer application. Gain depends on exposure time and object brightness. You set exposure and gain to get best subframe possible - low noise but with visible nebulosity.
