I have had my S50 for a couple of years but in truth, I didn't use it as much as I hoped.
When I did, I had an iPad and Samsung Android phone and the connection was pretty much flawless.
I set a station ID so I could use it whilst the devices where connected to my Internet, and I could switch back and forth between the Pone (Android) and Pad (IOS) with no issue.
This week the weather has been great so I decide to give the S50 another outing... There have been many Firmware and app updates since, but getting it up and running was just as easy as before.. The only thing thats changed i that I have moved from an iPad (IOS) to Xiamoi Pad 6 (Android), but I didn't expect any issue.
I use the pad, pointed it to a nebula and started to 'stack'.. No problems were seen.. But at some point I closed the app, and when I went back in, where i was stuck in some kind of connection "loop" where I would connect and then immediately disconnect and this would continue for a few mins until I got an error.
To cut a long story short, restarting the S50 fixed this, so I hoped this was a one off.. But last night I tried again, and immediatly ran into the same "loop".. I tried several times (Restarting the S50 and the app) and could never connect.. So in the end I went back to my Samsung Phone (also Android) and it was flawless.
I remained connected for several hours with zero connection difficulties.
So it seems I have a problem with the Xiaomi pad and the S50, but have no idea what could be wrong.
Does anyone have any ideas?
