Hey everyone,
I recently moved to the ASIAIR Plus , and ever since, my auto-guiding performance has taken a serious hit. When I was using PHD2 on my laptop, I consistently guided at 0.3-0.5" RMS arcsecond error.
Now, with the ASIAIR, I’m stuck in the 1.35-1.9" range—I haven’t been able to get below 1.0" since making the switch.
Nothing else in my setup has changed—same AM5, same guide scope, same seeing conditions—just the ASIAIR. I’ve gone through the usual troubleshooting steps (balance, calibration, aggressive settings, min/move, etc.), but I can’t seem to get my guiding performance back to where it was.
I've also liberally used the Search function here to no help.
Has anyone else run into this after switching to the ASIAIR? Any tips, settings adjustments, or workarounds that helped? I’ll attach a dropbox link to my guide logs below for reference.
Thanks in advance!
