I am writing about a topic that has had a number of posts, but none of the suggestions seem to help. While running PHD2, I get the dreaded message: “camera has timed out after 15.2 seconds, and pHD2 will try and reconnect.” Some times, it does reconnect, but not always. It coincides when I am taking images with the main camera in NINA, but can also be replicated using ASI studio for subs with the imaging camera.
The guide camera is an ASI220 mini
The imaging camera is an ASI2600MM
After updating drivers did not help, I uninstalled, ASCOM, NINA, PHD2 and ZWO drivers, and then reinstalled all.
Moved from powered hub to direct connect into laptop, then went to a shorter cable. Tried multiple cables. If I am not taking images with the main camera, th disconnect does not seem to happen.
Ensured that USB ports do not have power management check.
Windows 11
From what I have read, I am left with a camera problem. I would go this route, and send the original back for repair, but I am uncertain and wish not to spend the money if it is something else. Wondering if there is some US setting somewhere.
Checking to see if there is anything I missed. This is driving me crazy.
Many thanks,
Jim
