Exposure setting for phases of lunar eclipse

For the lunar eclipse this week, will the Seestar use exposures that allow us to see the moon get darker as it progresses? Or will we need to watch and manually adjust exposure for each stage of the eclipse?
If the Seestar can handle it, then what setting do we leave it on, is it the default brightness?

I tried using Automatic exposure but found I still needed to adjust brightness lower manually as the penumbra shadow was increasing, and then increase it during totality, and vice versa after totality ended

Yes, the exposure cannot be changed automatically and needs to be adjusted manually.
