How can I get back my space on the SS50 ? I copied all to my pc , deleted the maps from the SS and my space stays at 157mb .... ? Whatvto do now ?

henkiepenkie2 the Seestar is basically seen as an external storage device from your PC's point of view. The files you deleted are in the unit's "recycle bin". Reconnect the S50 to your PC, right click on the drive, go to properties, push the disc cleanup button and you will see the "hidden" recycle bin. Clean it up and you are done!

You can format the drive and the memory is there. The premise is that you have fully backed up your files, because Seestar cannot recover deleted files.

Support@Seestar I know, but the word "format" for speakers of the English language means "delete everything" in the drive including the system files. The wording is poor and the fact that this is such a common question proves it.

that partition is for media storage only. There are no system files.
Moreover, you can connect seestar to PC and see it as USB drive. And you can FORMAT it in windows. Nothing bad happens.

Lilo I know all that. Most users don't. That's my point, and that is why I propose a wording change.
