Here is a new thing to worry about and the way to fix it.
Last night, after an almost successful (one failed goto for some unknown reason) full night EQ mode plan session, I found the S50 in the morning like this:
It clearly tried to close the arm going the wrong way around and it would not recover from this state on its own, even after repeated power cycling. Nothing got broken, and in case this happens to you, here is how to get out of this state:
After turning on the S50, do not try to open the arm, that will not work, go into Star Gazing mode, skip any GoTo and use the joystick to move down. Ignore the silly lady voice complaining that "I can't go down any lower" or something like that and keep going until the arm goes past top position, then shut down the S50.
