What worked for my particular situation is to offset the initial position. To polar align, Seestar will turn 270 degrees from initial “open arm” position counter clockwise, and with the arm pointing about 45 degrees away from north pole (if you aligned you Seestar), it will solve the first point and two more points by turning about 30 degrees counter clockwise for each. A more detailed procedure is under “EQ Mode - deviation check”.
You need to find the offset that will bring it to sky location that suits your situation.
Hope that helps.
