  • Unusual trouble with alignment, RA is 12 hours off???

Hello, Typically I use ASIAIR Plus with an Askar FRA400, filter wheel, ASI2600MM with Celestron AVX mount and never have any issues with polar alignment or navigating the night sky and imaging. Tonight I changed the optical path as follows I replaced the FRA400 with a 6" Celestron SCT (with 0.63 reducer) and I switched the camera from ASI2600mm to ASI585 (the uncooled version)...following the regular setup procedure, I first do a quick align of the mount...this includes setting the alignment marks, setting the location, date and time, time zone etc...all this seems normal...next I manually focused the telescope using a Batinov mask...next I polar align...this seems to go well and the final error is quite small, similar to any other time I polar align using the other optical path. So at the conclusion of the polar alignment the scope is rotated 60 degrees. If at this time I tell it to go to the home position the mount will rotate the RA well past the starting position and ends up at about a 90 degree angle, so I guess this would be about 150 degrees from where it was at the conclusion of the polar alignment. I hope I have explained the situation sort of clearly, I am not all that good with my knowledge of RA and these things...in any case at this point if I direct the mount to point to some object it gets lost. Repeating the procedure several times and getting the same result, once the mount goes "home" and has rotated the 150 degrees, I then manually loosen the alignment screws on the RA and realign the alignment marks. So now when I tell the mount to point at some object it will get there, but it seems confused, like when I pointed at the Cigar Galaxy the mount had the RA very near where you would want to do the meridian flip, yet it thinks the meridian is still 11 hours or so away...its like the RA is off by 12 hours I guess...in any case I have no idea what may be causing this nor how to correct it. A year or two ago I successfully used this exact setup to image Jupiter and it worked fine...any suggestions will be much appreciated...

Edmullinsphotography It looks like all problem caused by the incorrect home position.
1 Usually the power on position will affect that, Please the mount is at home position when you power on and connect the mount.
2 If this problem appears all the time, could you please submit a bug report in the ASIAIR APP for analysis? thank you,
