Framing is ignored on S30 in EQ mode

I’ve not been able to achieve custom framing since EQ mode went live. My EQ alignment is set to a reasonable tolerance, eg.~ 0.3/0.4 or similar. I can set the framing in the Atlas (with EQ grid displayed), then GOTO, then when LIVE stacking starts, it’s back to the standard sensor orientation and size. When I go back to the Atlas, my framing choice is still shown in gray box outline, with the red and blue boxes set back to standard orientation. When framing with the S50, it often ignores framing the first time, but then honors my selection after the second or third attempt. The S30 no longer honors it regardless of number of attempts.

Works for me when framing M81/82, Markarian's Chain, etc . What object were you attempting to capture? If possible, I'll try it.

For me it works with S30 in eq. But is somehow awkward.
Tested yesterday. The frame was rotated 45° for Markarian's Chain. And it worked.
But every time you enter SkyAtlas rectangles layout is reset to default position.And that is very inconvenient.

Thanks for the replies. I was also trying Markarian’s Chain. Gave up after about 10 attempts. Also tried reinstalling the app. I then tried another section of sky to see if that made a difference, still just native sensor position on the Horsehead. This has pretty much ended my interest in the S30. I can’t find any info on the problem, as I’m apparently the only one.

Funny you mentioning Markarian's chain, I just finished processing this:

I am thinking about posting a tutorial here about how to create images like that, using only free and easy to learn toools, if there is enough interest I will do it.
