I need the full height for the initial PA and star alignment. The spot is low, surrounded by upslopes and the house, great for wind proof, not so great for DSOs low in the sky.
A lot of weight is holding it down as seeing in the photo, one 15lb weight disc, three paver bricks and three batteries!
