Problems polar aligning C8.

Comfortable with my refractor and I'm now trying my C8 with .67 reducer for galaxies. Using 533MC pro, ASIAIR plus, AM5. Can plate solve with ASIAIR but when I try to PA it only rotates to 1 or 2 degrees, not the 60 and then stalls. Have to switch to Sharpcap to use its polar align function, then switch back to ASIAIR.
Any suggestions?

I have a C8 SCT with f/6.3 Reducer and ASI294MC Pro camera on a HEQ5 Pro mount. Unguided.

I can polar align etc fine with version 2.1-10.74 of the app/firmware.

What version are you using?

What was you refractor setup? Was it working fine with the ASIAIR?

When you switched scopes did you redo everything (I.e. change focal length to 0 and let asiair work it out, check focus, physically setup everything properly, etc etc)?
