The new Tripod Head may be the "least useful" ZWO product yet (IMO)! It doesn't address the two main problems, fine adjustments to alt/az for polar-alignment and offsetting the weight so the rig isn't unbalanced. Meade and Celestron solved this problem a half-century ago with their fork-mounted SCT's equatorial wedge.

ZWO's current solution is just to use a bigger tripod that is (maybe) less likely to tip over and offers zero slow/fine motion control. What is needed is a scaled down version of the AM3's wedge with an offset plate between wedge and tripod, that moves the center of gravity so the rig is balanced (and can use the stock tripod). Try again ZWO!

I came up with my own 3rd-party solution/hack and was looking forward to see ZWO come up with a better solution, but they haven't yet.
