Is there built-in cordwrap prevention?

I haven't had clear skies enough to find out, but does the ASIAir (2600MC-Air in my case) have any built-in understanding of cord wrap? If left to run a plan, will it potentially wrap the camera's power cord around the mount, or does it limit itself to not more than maybe 360 degrees of movement in one direction? Hopefully not even that much.

I don't think so. I use a Rainbow Astro RST-135 mount in Alt-Az mode. That mode seems to be more susceptible to cord wraps. I have yet to get a cord wrap issue with the RST-135. With other mounts I had to be very careful. So it may be more of a function of how the mount determines the best way to access the object. What mount are you using?

An AM3. By itself, it the AM3 would never be an issue because the power cord would move very little. In the case of a camera, it could wrap if you go from north to south, then north, then east, then.... The camera power cord is the one I'm concerned about.
