Can't screw M54 adapter into M54 CAA thread

Hi there, I just received the CAA.

It has an M54 female thread.

I bought an Omegon M54 male adapter, but the adapter will only screw two or three turns into the CAA before getting stuck, leaving about 3mm of thread hanging out. I cannot make it flush with the body of the rotator. Why?

Both the CAA manual and the adapter model both say M54.

I'd contact the astroshop. I have an M54-M42 adapter from TS. It fits perfectly on the CAA thread.
