So in the Image Calibration Screen there are two options, Hot Pixels Correction which has no tutorial associated with it and Flat Shoot which has a tutorial and can be easily followed. Please advise how to carry out a Hot Pixels Correction.
I assume you should cover the lens with something opaque, the solar filter seems ideal for this task.
I have a lens dust cap. With the telescope outside at night do I simply put the lens cap on and press Correction in the software and it just does it.
3AC9bx99 Yes that should be all it needs. Leave it powered on and set outside for a while before you do it though, so it's at a stable temperature as the hot pixels can vary with temp (more when it's warm, less when it's cold).
