Change IR cut to AR on 2600MC Pro

Is it feasible to change the built-in IR-Cut filter/window on the ZWO ASI2600MC Pro for an AR window. I have an IR Pass filter I want to use for wide field, but the built-in IR-cut defeats its purpose. I had to replace the window on a 120mini that was broken. I've had no issues with it, but the 2600 is too expensive to gamble with.

Has anyone had experience with changing the window on the 2600 or similar camera?

You want the "D60 AR protect window" for the 2600 camera.

I have one, but haven't attempted to change it yet.

OK... so finally I did the change today.

Put some tape the tilt plate near the knob that adjusts the guide camera focus, so you will know which way round to reassemble. Remove the three larger bolts securing the tilt plate on the front of the camera.
This exposes a smaller thin black cover plate, secured by 6 x tiny Phillips screws. Remove the 6 screws and the cover plate. This exposes the heater pad, which is a labyrinth printed circuit film and quite fragile. Note the heater is connections are at one side. Very gently separate the heater circuit from the cover glass underneath it, but do not disconnect it.
Undo the 6 hex screws around the outside of the front of the camera which secure the whole red front plate and the cover glass. The front plate will pull away with a rectangular rubber light-guard which is placed around the sensor. This rubber guard has an O-ring facing the cover glass.
Put the camera to one side with the sensor facing DOWN or on its side (sensor vertical) - do not leave it facing up as dust (eg skin flakes) floating in the air will contaminate the sensor.
Separate the cover glass from the red front plate. There is an O-ring between the glass and the metal.
On the underside of the front plate you will see 4 x brown desiccant pads. Replace these while you are here.
Remove the O-ring seal and very lightly re-grease this, I used Superlube lithium grease. Put the O-ring back in place under the header.
Unwrap the new cover glass, taking care not to touch the faces. Put it in place over the O-ring.
Replace the smaller black cover plate over the heater pad, and secure with 6 screws.
Confirm the black rubber shroud is in place around the camera sensor. Place the red front plate over, and secure with the 6 screws.
Replace the tilt plate in the correct orientation (from step 1) and secure with 3 screws.

You are done.

NB to clean the grease off the cover glass requires a hydrocarbon solvent such as kerosene or WD40.

I'm about to order a new cover glass for next time.
