I have noticed that the AF is probably not making accurate estimates on star size, even with long exposure AF, when we use very narrow NB filters; I believe this because the image of the stars it's measuring on looks grainy, and not as clear as when you focus with broadband.
My idea is, to add an option to make it so, if for example you want to be imaging HA, the ASIair would first focus through the Red filter, instead of focusing through HA; same with OIII - you could allow the user to make the autorun focus through green or blue before imaging in OIII, all automated.
I think this would give me peace of mind that I'm getting data with proper focus.
Of course, I mean to make this optional.
I understand that a user can do this manually, but that's why I'm here asking for this feature, because I want this to be able to be automated.
