One of the nice features of PHD is that you can specify different mount types for the "mount" which controls how guide pulses are sent, and "Aux Mount" which PHD uses to get coordinate data.
ASIAir has only one mount type option. It is used both to move the telescope and to guide the telescope. This does not work well if you for some reason need to use a wired ST4 cable to guide but still want to control the mount via USB. In my case, the SkySensor 2000 PC support on ASIAir is broken. GoTo works great, but pulse guiding does not. I can either set my mount type to SkySensor2000 and be able to point the telescope but not guide, or I can set it to ST4 on Camera and guide the mount but not point it. Separating these options would make it work.
Or at least have a checkbox option under Guiding that says "Use ST4 on camera for guiding" regardless of the mount type selected.
Thanks for considering,
Dave
