S50 Planetary mode brightess adjustment

It has been since December that automatic brightness adjustment slide on my S50 doesn’t work in planetary mode. Manual adjustment, where you set exposure and gain, is working, but I find way more convenient to have just one slide to dim planets and see some details rather than having to deal with exposure and gain. Can you please fix that? Thank you, other than this issue great improvements since I bought the device one year ago!

I did’t take a video, I can try tonight if the weather is fine. So maybe the problem is related to my device? I’m running the app on an iphone 11 pro max ios 18.5

Unable to upload the video, gives me an error every time. But I took sone screenshot of mars where you see the brightness slide at opposites and default, and there is no difference. The issue happens with planets, moon and sun works fine.

FWIW, I think the last time I tried imaging a planet (Jupiter) I just found the lower end of Automatic adjustment was not low enough to get proper exposure. I had to change it to manual and bring both gain and exposure very close to the bottom. And that was 2-3 versions ago.

It was fine before december. Now setting the slide at 0 or -100 makes no difference. As you said you have to adjust manually exposure and gain.

You have to go into manual control and adjust the gain and exposure down to absolute minimum to be able to view the planets. Automatic does not work. You can just about see the cloud bands on Jupiter if you do this.
