Hi everyone,
last night i was happy to plan recording the "strawberry" fullmoon via autorun in ASIAIR
I switched every toogle "off" that could interrupt the beginning or running the autorun session.
- Guiding / Auto Guiding off (no star is visible near the moon for guiding)
- Autofocus every x seconds / degrees off (Autofocus not working on the moon)
- Goto Auto Center off
- Dithering off (No correct guiding -> no dither)
Unfortunately the rare possibility for the "straberry" moon did not start at all, and I was very disappointed today with ending of 0 recorded images.
According to the log file, it started at the beginning of the session trying to plate solve. But there was no (or not enough) stars to plate solve. Perhaps due to the very fast exposure duration of 10ms.
I did not find in the whole ASIAIR menus any possibility to switch of the plate solving. I thought "Goto Autocenter" would switch off plate solving.
Did i miss an special switch to turn off?
Else if this switch is not present, turning autosolving off would be a good feature in the dialog, before the Autorun session starts. Or more better - your software would be able to recognize and plate solve the moon itself for perfect center. And on top - guiding on the surface of the moon.
Greetings
