I'm trying to get better guiding with my ASIAIR plus/ OAG /ASI220mm at a 200mm focal length.
I'm aiming to get 0.4"RMS on an AG EQ6 GT.
I am suspecting that the ASIAIR 's default of 2x2 binning for the ASI220mm could result in the guiding graph scaling to show half of what it actually is in reality. Iv'e read binning reduces guiding accuracy on other forums.
I'm getting small star trails at an 0.8" RMS average, but these trails look more like a 1.6"" RMS.
Can anyone confirm that the guide graph scaling is accurate at 2x2 binning?
I prefer not to go to un-binned guiding because I lose stars during guiding.
