Daan0523 Hello. This doesn't sound like a bug, please check your settings [Start at].
In addition, [1/1] will be displayed after clicking Start, which indicates the progress of the target. You can further view the progress of the sequence and frame by clicking the drop-down icon.
The capture log will not be displayed while the plan is in progress until the plan ends or is paused.

I just discovered another secondary issue with the app on Android. On all of my Android devices, I use the old school navigation buttons rather than gestures. So the row of four buttons beneath "Enter Device" are difficult to use. Granted, I probably won't use them much. But I can't tap on them unless I aim just right because the tablet navigation buttons overlap somewhat with the app buttons. I believe this is due to not following programming guides, or API, or what? My tablets are on Android 15. My phone is on Android 16 but I doubt I will use it with the ASIair. For me, this is a very minor cosmetic issue.

Hi,

Did you check the line on the bottom after you started the plan? It shows wait for…. Until start.

This can happen if you have set a starting time and this starting time already is in the past when starting the plan. Please choose another time or start now in this case.
I fell for this „trap“ also once or twice. 🙂

Hi everyone, I tried the latest version 2.4.1. All good, polar align perfect, it drives very well, the only flaw is the continuous warning of wi-fi loss, something that never happened during the whole night of observation, 5 hours in total.

Thank you for thought. Unfortunately, daylight's savings was back in March.

I ran the beta last night and the meridian flip executed at the correct time and the plan completed successfully. I'll report to this thread if I do end up observing the issue again.

Hey everyone, thanks for the reply’s.

I checked again and [Start at] was definitely set to Start now. However, the same issue happened again: when I clicked Start, nothing happened immediately. Then, about 5 minutes later, the plan finally started and the mount slewed as expected.

Also, the camera was already cooled to 100% when I hit Start, so I don’t think it was waiting on the cooler.

I’ll be trying the new beta soon to see if this issue is improved there.

Any idea what could be causing this delay? Thanks!

I was testing the advanced guiding setting Guide Stability. I set it to 0.6" for 15s. Normally, 0.6 is super easy to achieve, but tonight the wispy clouds are rolling in and I wanted to see what happens. What seemed to happen is it tried for 15s to reach 0.6, then image capture began. It didn't reach 0.6 for more than a moment a few times, but never for 15s until about 20-30s after the image capture restarted. It is my understanding from the text displayed in the app's settings that it should maintain less than 0.6 for 15s. It wasn't close from what I could see. I sent logs.

I also included in this report the issue that I couldn't scroll up in the bug report window of the app to correct any text or errors in my bug report!

Is there a way to directly enter coordinates? The spinners you get when you tap on the RA/Dec in the preview window are super annoying to use. Just give me somewhere to type in the numbers. This probably isn't a beta issue, but just in case.

For me 2.4.1 is working correctly so far. Did a 3 filter 5 hour session with meridian flip, autofocus and auto guiding in plan mode.

In the ASIAir app, under the mount tab, the mount time shows UTC time, the current time here is UTC+1 (Daylight Saving). I get that BUT under the mount tab of ASIMount (this a 5N), the mount time is shown as UTC+1. Seems a little odd.

My guide calibration failed. I’m using the AM5N and the ASIAir Pro. It worked before the update. Here’s the error message:

I’m hoping this will be part of the patch for the 2.4 release.
