EAF Pro with Bluetooth?

Just received an EAF Pro… exactly the type of focuser that I have been waiting for.

I can connect it via the USB C-to-A cable to my ASIAIR mini. Works nicely… will try it out under the stars soon.

Now my issue: I tried to set-up the bluetooth, but neither my iPad Pro nor my iPhone 15 can see it. It does not show up as available device! Nothing.

I reset the EAF Pro by pressing the IN/OUT button for 5s And had it beep… still nothing.

Please, let med know how to solve this issue.

OK... I did a bit more tests and digging, the EAF Pro can only be found via the ASIAIR App / software, if the device you are using to connect to the EAF Pro is compatible with the Bluetooth interface of the EAF Pro.

The ASIAIR mini is not compatible! So no connection possible via Bluetooth and the ASIAIR App.

I used the ASIImg app on my MacBook and could connect to the EAF Pro via bluetooth, but only through the settings of the app, not via the Bluetooth settings of the MacBook!

It seems that the new ASIAIR Plus 256G is compatible with the BT of the EAF Pro, but only if it is a certain version.

My local Astro dealer has the ASIAIR Plus currently on sale, but he could not tell me if it is the one that is compatible or not.

I highly recommend ZWO to change the product name of the ASIAIR Plus 256G, so that both dealers and customers know if they have the right version or not.
