Lilo you're referring to a true "manual point and sync" feature based on plate solving without a prior GoTo. While this approach is indeed common in traditional astrophotography setups, Seestar is designed with a high level of automation for ease of use, and most of our users rely on the full GoTo-and-sync flow.
That said, we appreciate your feedback and will forward it to our product team for further consideration. If more users express similar needs, we’ll definitely look into ways to support it in a future update.
