I think the point of this topic is most people are asking about a product which was revealed to the world months ago, and still no release date or price. Yet a competitor has done it right away. So yes, there is an issue regarding how ZWO are handling this release, it would be an issue if any company did this for such a prolonged period.
If US tarrifs are an issue, release it to the rest of the world first.
