CAA - Is the Takahashi E-180 compatible?

I have connected my CAA to my Takahashi E-180 but it hits the focuser at mid-focus. Not sure how to get around it.

There is a curved indent in the CAA but it is not big enough to clear the focuser.

Is there a list of incompatible scopes? (or a solution?) Thanks. -Derryl

If it was flipped the other way it wouldn't have that issue. Also the filter wheel, which comes next in the train would miss it as the indented part is further out and beyond the CAA.

It's been 10 days so I assume I won't be getting a response. I don't believe anyone should purchase this product without a list of compatible scopes that it will work with. And especially knowing that you have no real support. Blindly purchasing a CAA, testing it/trying to install it, it not working and then having to sell it at a loss is disrespectful to customers.

Please refer to the assembly schematic. You may need to add an extension ring to prevent interference between the CAA (Camera Angle Adjuster) and focuser

Hello, thank you for the reply and the diagram. Unfortunately for my Takahashi Epson 180, I need 56.2mm back focus. The ASI6200 (17.5mm), Filter wheel (20mm), CAA (16.50mm), Male-to-Male 54mm ring (1.8mm) and Light masks (.4) adds up to 56.2mm. That leaves zero space for any extension rings.

Can you move the focuser forward a bit and set the position to 0? Try it and see if it works properly.
