Just got the ZWO ASI585MC-Air

There is not much info on this unit yet. But so far nice unit! Connects to my AM3/AM5n and EAF easy. TY ZWO!! Question I am only getting about 4-11 Frames Per Sec, which is about normal depending on ROI, my questions is for Solar & Planets imaging can I connect my computer USB C to the ASI585MC-Air USB-C and get faster FPS or is that USB-C port going through the ASIAir and still limited to 10 FPS?

I believe that port is only for transfering data off the device. I would just try it and see what happens.

After reading the manual I agree that's what it for, I am hoping ZWO would confirm or have newer Firmware allow us to control the camera without the ASIAir, like a bypass.

That's why I returned my 2600mc-air and bought the 2600mc-duo with a separate ASIair instead. If the internal ASIair fails, you have an expensive brick. It cost a little more, but I feel better about my purchase and have a more flexible system.
