I was thinking about the new 2x drizzle that gets done with live stacking yesterday and it brought a question to my mind. Why is it that if I'm live stacking an image, the scope can go for the entire night and stack thousands of images on a single target, but if I try to do a deep sky stack later with more than a certain number of images (I think it's around 2000), the telescope says it doesn't have enough memory? With the new drizzle feature, it would be really nice if we could stack images again on the telescope using deep sky stack with a target that we have more than the maximum number of images for. The telescope does a really nice job of stacking and if it drizzles now, that's even better!
Also, and I think I saw someone request this already, but I've had the same thought before. It would be really nice if the telescope could stop imaging a target and then pick it up again another night and continue adding to the stack that it already had. I saw this ability on a demo of one of the Vespera telescopes. It even saved the framing so that you could resume it without having to reframe it.
Just some thoughts I've had. I got this telescope in March of 2025 and it has been excellent, especially since EQ mode came out. These are some things I've thought of since I've been using it for a little while now.
