This is directed at ZWO and as a FYI for users. I decided to add a 4 pound bag weight inside the Pier Extension. I removed the upper ring and discovered that the 3 cap screws were too short. After 3 ΒΌ turns the cap screws were loose. I turned the Pier Extension over and they fell out. The screws holding the bottom ring were a little better but not by much. Having over 6 thousand dollars of imaging equipment relying on the Pier Extension and having short screws Is NOT Acceptable. This does not include the AM5N mount head so the total cost is higher. I replaced all 6 cap screws with screws that were acceptable. I do not know if my Pier Extension was the exception but I strongly recommend that you use longer cap screws.
