Plan mode shut down

I am a s50 newbie. I have been running all night plans with my battery pack and dew shield attached. I have been very afraid of what will happen at the end of the plan. Supposedly the s50 returns to home position and shuts down. This could cause damage if the dew shield is still on, so I have been setting my alarm and getting up before sunrise to manually shut down after removing the dew shield. I’m requesting an option to “park” the telescope in a horizontal position at the end of the plan instead. This would allow the user to collect the s50 later after sunrise with the dew shield in place. Thanks for listening, the s50 is a great product.

DocPstars I have done all night plan mode exposures with dew shield attached exclusively for many months now and I have never set up an alarm. My dew shield fit is quite loose and I would say about 95% of the time I find it on the ground in the morning with the S50 arm fully closed. Only once or maybe twice I found the dew shield stuck between the arm and the body and nothing bad has happened, the S50 still works fine.

There is already such a demand. However, if you do not enable automatic shutdown, the device will stay at a position of about 20 degrees after the planned shooting is completed.
