What are the benefits of restacking with the Deep Sky Stack button?

Why restack inside the Seestar? Are there any benefits? Don't say "less noise": careful comparisons I have done do not show any noise reduction.
One thing I have discovered is that the result is slightly repositioned and slightly distorted compared to te original live stack. Could it be correcting for lens distortion?

55u56qWD By stacking multiple images, noise cancels out, resulting in a clearer image. Additionally, faint details gradually become visible. Since the noise distribution varies in each image, these random errors are averaged out during stacking, making the image more stable. Post-processing stacking compensates for the shortcomings of individual image quality by using quantity, resulting in cleaner, more refined, and more accurate images.

Tech@ZWO I think his question was not about why we do stacking but what is the difference between the live stacked result and a post capture stack using the Deep Sky Stack button. In other words, does the Deep Sky Stack function do anything different to make for a better final stacked image than the Live Stacking function?

Deep-sky post-stacking: Requires manual use of professional software for precise calibration, stacking of multi-night raw data, and in-depth processing to pursue ultimate image quality in deep-sky imaging. The former is "instant viewing", the latter is "deep processing".
