Asiair Plus gets very hot during use – is this normal?

Hi everyone,
I purchased the Asiair Plus back in 2021, but I’ve only used it occasionally. Recently, I noticed that it gets extremely hot during operation—almost like it’s actively heating up. I’m not sure if this is normal behavior.

This test was done with only the EAF connected, and I’ve attached a screenshot showing the voltage. Does it seem too high, or is it within normal range?

This is the CPU temperature and perfectly normal.

Sonixx Thanks for the reply regarding CPU temperature—it's helpful to know that the value is considered normal.

However, I'm still a bit concerned about the physical heat of the Asiair Plus. Even after just a few minutes of use, the device becomes extremely hot to the touch—more than I expected. For comparison, the Asiair Mini stays practically cool, almost never gets noticeably warm under similar conditions.

Is it normal for the Plus model to get this hot externally? To the touch, it feels almost like a heating pad, and I'm not entirely convinced that everything is working as it should.

Hi Paul,

The plus has a more powerful processor than the mini, so it should get warmer. Its hard to say what is extremely hot to the touch for you. In colder nights mine gets warm. In a warm room it can get very warm to the touch. If everything ist working fine I would not be too worried.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I understand—the internal temperature seems to be fine, but the physical heat on the outside still feels quite high. In any case, I’ll keep monitoring its behavior over time. Thanks again for your support!
