A feature that is able to track a comet that is moving across the sky, and the comet becomes elongated during long exposures. This feature is intended to track the comet and is useful in that it will help, even in a small way, so that the comet does not appear elongated during the use of long exposures.

Are you currently shooting in EQ mode or ALT/AZ mode? Comet photography doesn't require very long exposures—10 seconds is sufficient. The longer the exposure, the longer the comet will appear in the image. You can start by capturing a short-exposure comet shot, followed by a long-exposure shot, then stack them during post-processing. I'll make a note of the features you've suggested.

Yes,the alt/az mode is better suited for photographing comets, where a 10-second exposure is sufficient. Longer exposures will only result in a longer comet tail, so the exposure time must be shortened.
