Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I did not find a answer by searching. When you using the framing command and rotate the image area to be photographed, does the Seestar S50 actually do this by rotating the sensor with respect to the scope or does it do this by using the mosaic mode then trimming to the required image. I have not found anything in the manuals. My impression from trying to photgraph C/2025 R2 it is the latter. The comet head is missing from some of the subs and when the subs are asassembled based on the stars - the are gaps in the comet image. The attached photo is stacked based on the coment core - there are gaps in the star trails. If it does use a mosaic to generate a roation then there are implications for exposure time and for moving objects.
