Not finding anything

Not sure what has happened. It worked so easily before and now in the last week I cannot get it to find anything. Sky is dark I cannot see any stars what do I do now? It shows identifying, shooting a bunch of times and then fails nothing?
I also tried in day time finding and trying to view the sun. I had does this before without any issue. Cannot display the sun and using Scenery mode it is somewhat blank. I did try to manual focus but this did not help at all. If I shine a light into the S50 it does seem to see it but it appears it can not view anything? Any ideas on what to do?

Can you take landscape photos during the day? For instance, when photographing buildings or trees, try focusing on subjects more than a kilometer away to see if they can be captured clearly.Did you use a solar filter when photographing the sun, and when did this situation begin?

I can see it going from somewhat dark to lighter when in landscape. But cannot see anything. I tried using manual focus up and down but this does not help. Nothing really displayed in view.

Randy747 Were you shooting during the daytime? Did you aim at a distant location (unobstructed and over 1 kilometer away) for shooting? It’s best to shooting towards a house or a tree. You can also adjust the brightness for testing.First, aim at the approximate position, then focus manually or use auto-focus. Additionally, when and where did you purchase your device? If it is broken, you may need to contact the dealer you bought it from for repairs.
