Thanks for the helpful responses. I didn't know this forum existed and just discovered it a couple of days ago. I am the original "poster" - but I didn't post it. I sent an email support request with this question - I didn't get an email reply, but my question was posted here. That's fine - I just didn't know it would happen.
There is so much about this telescope that isn't "officially" documented. I have been viewing YouTube videos (most old) to get help. I have also used an "AI" Chatbot (Perplexity) to get help - but that is not reliable. I asked Perplexity about the output files - and it said "JPEG, TIFF, and FIT". No TIFF files on my system. So I asked Perplexity why and this time the answer was "There has never been any TIFF output". I want something more robust than the jpegs to post-process and I am used to TIFF files for my cameras. I assume I can convert the FIT files to TIFF. It's an adventure!
