Hello.
Advanced Feature -> Image Calibration -> Hot Pixel Corection Could you please explain what is it and how it actually works? Doesn't look like dark farme, something else.
Anybody?
This feature is designed to remove fixed (hot) pixels. If you notice an increase in such pixels during your imaging session, enabling this function can help improve the image quality. It works just as described in the feature’s description in the app.
Support@Seestar Thank you, I'm able to read a description. Could you please provide a bit more details how is it actually implemented?
For instance dark frames are pretty clear common thing and no questions.
But how that hpc works? What it does?
Lilo The Hot Pixel Correction feature helps remove tiny bright dots that may appear in your images. Unlike dark frame subtraction, which needs an extra calibration frame, this function works automatically during image processing. It detects pixels that are much brighter than the surrounding ones and smooths them out by blending with nearby pixel values. This helps make your image cleaner without extra steps. It’s a simple enhancement that works alongside traditional calibration methods.
It's just "bias" frames, by my understanding. Shortest dark frame exposure to remove always-red/blue/green pixels.
wVU1j6V6 Nope unfortunately. It's just a hpc.bin file I see inside my S30. Variable size 5-170KB. It changes every time you click that button. So definitely not a frame from the camera. Actually looks more like a table map of some kind of dead pixels.
