It would be very useful and helpful if the meridian flip didn't happen abruptly at the meridian, but could be selected to extend slightly beyond it (perhaps up to 15°). Naturally, this would be with a warning and at the user's own risk. It's very annoying, for example, when photographing a planet to create a series, only to have the tracking suddenly stop because the meridian has been reached.
