Hi, I just purchased an AM3N from Agena Astro. I was "bench testing" it to make sure everything was working. First, I updated to the latest firmware, which was 1.8.6 as of yesterday. I did that using the SkySafari App on an Android tablet, using the WiFi connection method.
After that, I disconnected the WiFi connection, turned off the mount, removed the hand controller, and turned it back on to try to connect via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connect requires you to press a button, and after that it connects fine. However, after less than a minute it disconnects by itself. This is a very consistent repeatable behavior. I have a video of it that I sent to support, but it is too large to post here.
I also tried to test with my ASIAir Plus. Same results, the Bluetooth connects but sometime later, disconnects. With the ASIAir, it tries to automatically reconnect, so the mount just becomes unresponsive. When I use WiFi connection with ASIAir, none of these problems occur.
Do I just have a bad unit? Do others experience these issues with Bluetooth?
Thanks for reading.
