I am conducting tests creating darks using AutoRun indoors with ZWO equipment; ASIAIRPlus 256G, EFW 5x2, EAF, AM5N, CAA, ASI2600MC Pro, no dew heaters. Camera was purchased new last month with the rest within the past 6 months. I have tried the following configurations and all produce intermittant camera disconnection or exposure failed errors or disconnection of the EFW with and without EFW "ON" in ASIAIR (2.4.4 v12.73):
PegasusAstro 12V 10A to AM5N (saddle out) to ASIAIR
1) 2600 5.5' long red USB3 (came with camera) to ASIAIR (data and power), EFW USB2 to 2600
2) 2600 5.5' long USB3 cable (alternate) to ASIAIR (data and power), EFW USB2 to 2600
3) 2600 5.5' long flat USB3 cable (ZWO) to ASIAIR (data and power), EFW USB2 to 2600
and then the same configuration but with power from a dedicated ZWO 12V 10A power supply to the 2600, and the same PegasusAstro 12V 10A to AM5N (saddle out) to ASIAIR. I also tried with a 5.5' flat black ZWO USB2 cable. The reason for the long cable is to provide slack for use with the CAA (which is another whole issue in itself). In addition to the disconnection issues there is the problem that during AutoRun ASIAIR will sometimes state "shooting" with no progress being shown, or when an image is captured, the image does not update in the display but the image count increments. Further, when the camera disconnects in the middle of AutoRun the sequence has to be paused and restarted after the camera cools back down.
Then I tried ASIStudio (1.17(25112101)) on Win10 DELL laptop with ZWO 12V 10A power supply to the 2600 and the 3 variations
of USB3 to the laptop with ASIImg having EFW and 2600 recognized. I can take darks of any gain/exposure length needed with no issues. The ASIAIRPlus 256G controller was running with no issues when connected with a ASI533MCPro camera (no EFW). I have read numerous reports of similar issues on several forums. I am interested If anyone else has similar issues that were resolved as well as hearing from ZWO on next steps.
