We understand your dissatisfaction, especially regarding the inability of core functions such as star chart calculation, polar alignment, meridian flip, and reliable GOTO functionality to work properly since version 2.4.x. These functions are crucial for many users, and we would definitely prioritize addressing any issues they may have.
However, we have not yet reproduced these issues in our internal testing environment—this likely means the problem depends on specific hardware combinations, setups, or environmental conditions that we haven't encountered yet.
To help us investigate further, we would appreciate the following information:
- Your complete imaging equipment configuration (camera model, equatorial mount, operating system...)
- The exact software version (e.g., 2.4.4, iOS)
- A detailed description of your steps before the issue occurred
- Ideally, please provide logs or screenshots showing the failure (e.g., star chart calculation failure or guide star not recovering after meridian flip).
Without this detailed information, it will be difficult for us to determine whether the problem is a software vulnerability, a configuration issue, or a compatibility problem.
We will not sacrifice stability for new features; if some users experience issues with core functionality, we need to understand and resolve them. However, we do need your help to understand the problem you are experiencing.
