Seestar EW Mount Advice

I am looking to purchase a Seestar S50 and was hoping for some EQ mount advice. I have read some contradictory perspectives online and have two questions:

[1] Would I be better off using the ZWO TH10 Fluid Tripod Head or something like the MSM Wedge.

[2] I’ve also read that some people feel that a levelling base attachment is helpful and yet others think it is a waste of time and money. Any thoughts? (eg https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0BS5TQ5YW/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&th=1)

For me the MSM wedge is better as you have finer control over the Azimuth (left/right) adjustments with the screw knobs. Its more difficult to do this with the TH10 as you relying on fine movements with your hand. However if you are using the standard tripod that comes with the Seestar, you may find the MSM wedge doesn't tighten up over a North facing leg to get the balance required when in EQ mode. I happen to find screwing on the leveller first helps as this has a shorter thread and so the wedge tightens up in line with a leg. Using washers achieves the same effect. If you are using a bigger tripod then lining up with a North facing leg doesn't apply.

That is what I suspected but wanted to hear it from someone with firsthand knowledge.

I will be using the S50 on an old heavy duty (full size) Manfrotto tripod so there shouldn't be any balance issues.

The NEEWER Tripod Head Leveling Base Camera Leveler is very useful when in Alt-Az mode as makes getting your Seestar level very easy. Not necessary in EQ mode but can have its uses as described earlier.

You may wish to buy the 3/8" plate to go with the MSM wedge. Have a look at the video by AbdurAstro:-

I have the Neewer TH15 and I am very happy with it. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. I also have an MSM style wedge but it's not even close.
