The skies were sort of clear here last night. Lots of big gusts of wind that match the guiding issues during a quick check of footage and log spikes.
Everything worked perfectly with 2.5 running a plan with 2x targets at different angles and multiple filter changes. Auto focus every 1c and every filter change.
Esprit 120 at 862FL with the 2600mm duo, EAF, EFW, and CAA on an AZEQ6GT.
There was also a period of thick clouds that messed with the plan and no real issues there.
I checked the tablet plenty during the night and never saw any issues for concern.
I did however encounter two minor issues during my setup routine:
- I normally fire everything up and hit AF prior to PA. I hit Focus by accident and was locked in until I hit Shoot and Zoom. Only then could I stop shooting, return to Preview, and do my usual AF routine.
- After the PA routine, I got an error message for awhile that said there was a failure. It went after 3-4 seconds and it turns out my very sturdy pier had not moved at all. Maybe nothing more than a wind gust and settling during the routine?
