I saw a video on on YouTube where a man had a different color sun filter for his S-50. The sunspots really showed up much better than the stock filter. Does anyone know of a safe filter that can be used? Thanks, Truman
Yes you can buy a Baader film filter for the Seestar S50. The sun then appears as a white disc rather then orange with the stock disc. You can buy from a good astronomical supplies shop on line. Try:-

Thanks. I have built a couple of solar filters for my telescopes and ran across this on Amazon. Will this be safe to build a filter with? The Baader filter with shipping is more than I want to spend. Besides, I like to build things. https://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Solar-Film-Sheets-Seymour/dp/B0CTXRWRHN?crid=3I681O6L5WT6P&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0b39yiTtQ3CpUoemrRXrr3iQrLaLZGB-U_Nm9PHdPxc-KRr7BheVrxR9f6CuqpMpnRWyeDW7tauD9sCFOezxOs2m6MVyk7wUZTs5t-iHOmPQK6GxsTr3IKXauP4VXTmZJDMZeQmoAmz7753wH-JogH8PmO2_DRRp78QGo43hU_3C5-s9ZlJbWQKwPUkWkY0Y.feMxIzjCHZsNlQVtXJiHRhFjoysNZwF6z_U_3e3v17M&dib_tag=se&keywords=baader%2Bsolar%2Bfilm&qid=1770485714&sprefix=baader%2Bsolar%2Bfilm%2Caps%2C259&sr=8-1&th=1
